Arbitration
Simon Manner acts as counsel and arbitrator in domestic and international arbitration proceedings. As co-counsel he assists foreign colleagues in their arbitral proceedings involving German law. He also advises on arbitration agreements and efficient dispute resolution mechanisms.
His engagements cover a broad range of industries and areas of law, including construction, energy (on- and offshore wind, gas), infrastructure and transportation, corporate law and post-M&A, intellectual property as well as international contract and commercial law.
He has acted as arbitrator in over 40 proceedings (ICC, DIS, SCC, GMAA, Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and ad hoc) with amounts in dispute of up to EUR 150 million.

Simon Manner acts as counsel of record and advisor in all types of commercial litigation proceedings before German state courts. He also represents his clients in proceedings for the enforcement or set-aside of foreign and domestic arbitral awards.

Simon Manner supports his clients in all types of alternative dispute resolution methods, including settlement negotiations as well as mediation, conciliation, expert determination and adjudication proceedings. He has acted as adjudicator in several offshore wind disputes (both standby and ad hoc).

Having worked for many years in the legal department of a globally operating company, Simon Manner has extensive experience in designing complex project contracts. He negotiated, inter alia, numerous wind turbine supply and service agreements for wind parks in Brazil, Germany, Finland, Ireland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
